Studio Duo is a Cape Town-based lifestyle brand that celebrates the timeless art of block-printing and the creation of sustainable, handmade garments. At our core, we honour tradition, focusing on age-old techniques that emphasize craftsmanship, sustainability, and a deep respect for nature.

Founded in mid 2023 by Sarah Mary, Studio Duo was born from a love for India, a yearning for connection in a post-pandemic world, and a passion for travel and textiles. Sarah’s vision is simple yet profound: to bridge the gap between artisans and consumers, fostering a deeper relationship with one another and the earth. Through every piece we create, we aim to tell the story of the hands that craft it, ensuring that every thread carries purpose and meaning.

Inspired by the breathtaking South African seaside and the vibrant colours of India, Studio Duo pays homage to the places and people that influence our journey. We draw from the vivid blues and sandy neutrals of the coastline, intertwined with the rich, warm hues of India's bustling markets and lush landscapes. This fusion of cultures brings a unique aesthetic to our garments—where simplicity meets bold, and heritage blends with modern living.
